The star of the menu is undoubtedly the pupusas, a traditional Salvadoran dish that features thick corn tortillas stuffed with a variety of fillings. Each pupusa is handmade, ensuring that every bite delivers a comforting and satisfying flavor. Guests rave about the Salvadoran torta and fried plantains, both of which perfectly complement the delightful pupusas. The Sopa De Gallina, featuring tender chicken and fresh vegetables, promises to wrap you in warmth, especially on a chilly day. Meanwhile, the robust Sopa De Pata, rich with tripe and served with zesty toppings like lime, cilantro, and jalapenos, reflects a genuine taste of Salvadoran comfort food that few establishments offer.
But the menu doesn’t just stop there. For lovers of variety, the tacos selection brings a delicious flair to your plate. Whether you choose the Taco Birria topped with melted cheese and spicy onions, or the classic Tacos Asada, you’re in for a treat. “ Fantastic spot to pick up lunch before a hike. The pollo is shredded, not grilled. Whether you prefer one style over the other is entirely preference, but I found their shredded chicken to be scrumptious. They do a fantastic job packing up the food, too. Our burrito and chicken torta easily survived a hike up to Lake 22. Great spot to pick up food prior to any of the great nearby hikes. ”
“ Great place for dinner and take out. ”
“ My partner and I finally went here after being interested for some time. And we're happy we did! The food was delicious and comforting, while the staff was kind and the building decorated with different artifacts of Salvadoran culture. We got two pupusas, the Salvadoran torta, fried plantains, and a couple of imported sodas. All of which I'd recommend. ”
“ Good quality food and a few items that we don’t often see on menus. The torta was excellent and so was the pupusa and empanadas. Seems a bit like a hole in the wall that could be easy to miss ”
“ I left a bad review once but after trying it a few more times I actually really like and crave this place. I've totally changed my mind and I definitely recommend this! ”
“ We stopped in this place a couple of years ago, and my El Savadorean girlfriend really said the Pupusas here are very authentic. We found it again today and came back to try some more, and we weren't disappointed! They have 15 different flavor Pupusas. I had the Revelta and Beef ones. Delicious! I would HIGHLY recommend this lovely little restaurant for a delicious taste of El Salvador! ”
“ Josseline is amazing our first time here and it’s spacious and good music we enjoyed the papusa chicken and the birria was little soft but the passion fruit maracuya was sooo goood ... ”
“ Everything I got was amazing. And I sampled most the menu. Particularly I like that tacos some with spicy fermented onion. Think kimchi, but onion. And it comes with a dip, which is find fascinating, as one thing I am not fond of with a traditional corn tacos is they can be dry. This completely changes that. It doesn't matter. The tamales are also incredible, and very different. They are either precooked and then removed from husk to fry, or the fry renders husk edible, eitherway inside, you have a fluffy moist corn meal which is like a sweet corn bread, with I believe queso inside as a binder. I love corn bread so that was a pleasant surprise. Their asada is done minced, so when it's fried up it all as a nice caramelization, done this way for tacos, burritos, their "crazy fries" (also amazing), and other dishes. Flat breads are simple, unless getting it stuffed, and all the way I like breads. Tortillas made in house and shows; perfect. Frijoles used are black beans too which is a great dimension of beans that you don't see enough of. All in all, in love. We will be ordering again, or dining in. ”
